1903-2003 the lace of bretton Ireland
Douarnenez : from December 2003 till January 2004

A very original exposition in a unique setting, at “the end of the world”. You will get to know the art of living – hard but enchanting – and the art of crochet lace – fine irish crochet lace and “bretton picot” - in the 19th century.

Exposition Yves FLOC’H
Douarnenez, from the 15th of July till the 14th of September.

The exposition is held at the ”Salle des fêtes” (a community hall). This hall, well known for its magnificent frescos is a classified historical monument.
The north finisterian painter Yves Floc’h (1906-1990) was acquainted with L. Désiré-Lucas and Abel Vilard. His work is particularly inspired by Douarnenez and “la Cornouaille”.
The exposition contains about 120 paintings in collaboration with the association “Le temps des livres”.
