Art exposition on the works of Achille GRANCHI-TAYLOR (1857-1921)
Concarneau - from the 13th of June till the 14th of September

Before settling down in Concarneau (till the beginning of the first World War), the painter Achille Granchi-Taylor spent some time at Pont-Aven in 1885.
His work is inspired by the routine of the fishermen in “Cornouaille”. He also illustrated several works of Victor Hugo and Théodore Botrel and was one of the few artists in Concarneau to have frequent connections with Paul Gauguin. Gauguin has even painted his portrait.

The exposition is held at the fishing museum of Concarneau. For this special occasion all works have been assembled. Till now they were spread over different bretton musea and private collections in Concarneau
