Clohars-Carnoët – From the 15th of June till the 30th of September

The event of 2003 is the inaugurating of the « Pouldu’s road of painters », with the Marie-Henry house as starting point. Paul Gauguin has lived in this famous house in Pouldu for one year. At the time it was called the “Buvette de la plage” kept by Marie Poupée. Paul Sérusier, Charles Filiger, Jacob Mayer, de Hann joined Gauguin in the winter of 1889 and decorated the walls, doors, windows and ceilings of the dining room. It has become a genuine monument thanks to the paintings, engravings and rare and unpublished documents.
